Cailin Greenburg (She/They), AMFT

I’m Cailin Greenburg, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) whose work is guided by a deep reverence for the wisdom, creativity, strength and vulnerability that each of my clients brings to the therapeutic process. I believe that all humans are innately whole, and that those parts of ourselves we may experience as the most challenging, shameful, or unwanted often carry valuable information about how we have survived and adapted in a world that has not always accepted and embraced us in our fullness. Our relationships, both with ourselves and others, can be profound sites of healing when they allow us to feel truly seen and valued in all of our humanity. In our work together, I will support you in relating to and integrating your experiences from a place of compassion and curiosity, rather than trying to “fix” something in yourself that was never broken to begin with.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed as I strive to honor and uplift my clients’ agency, autonomy and self-trust at every juncture of therapy. My work is rooted in the understanding that our individual healing journeys are inextricably bound to our collective liberation from oppressive and dehumanizing systems, and I seek to balance internally focused therapeutic work with attention to the interplay of cultural, historical and systemic contexts that inform mental health experiences.

I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, as well as clients experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In OCD-focused therapy, I primarily utilize exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy along with integrating acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and inference-based CBT (I-CBT) to support my clients in reclaiming trust in themselves and cultivating expansive, fulfilling lives on their own terms.
