About Rachel Gonzalez, ASW
I’m Rachel Gonzalez, an Associate Social Worker (ACSW), passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges by exploring the connections between culture, family, and past experiences. My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and relational dynamics, supporting clients through burnout, religious deconstruction, identity challenges, and significant life transitions.
Healing happens when we feel deeply seen and understood. As a Filipino therapist from Los Angeles, I bring a culturally responsive lens to my work, particularly in supporting clients from marginalized backgrounds. I understand how trauma can fracture one’s sense of self, and I create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to foster growth and resilience.
With dual Master’s degrees in Social Welfare and Public Health (MSW/MPH) from UCLA, I have worked with diverse populations, including transitional-aged youth, cancer patients, and forensic treatment clients. My background also includes facilitating workshops and providing evidence-based interventions to help clients find clarity, balance, and healing.
Whether you’re processing trauma, seeking personal growth, or looking to reconnect with your authentic self, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we can create a path toward healing and hope.
