If you’re feeling overwhelmed, powerless, or stuck in the shadows of unresolved trauma, know that you’re not alone. Trauma can create barriers to living a fulfilling life, often leaving us yearning for change yet unsure where to start.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate and heal from trauma-related challenges. My passion lies in addressing the deep impacts of trauma, particularly in those who have experienced childhood trauma, complex trauma, toxic relationships, and narcissistic abuse.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining EMDR with techniques drawn from ego state work, polyvagal theory, and attachment theory. This holistic blend not only supports emotional healing but also fosters the development of healthier perspectives that can enhance personal strength, improve relationships, and restore joy and purpose to your life.

My journey into this field began after I found sobriety in 2007. This transformative experience fueled my commitment to helping others affected by trauma and addiction. With over sixteen years of diverse experience—ranging from crime scene counseling to working in residential treatment centers, outpatient facilities, and counseling centers—I bring both a wealth of knowledge and deep empathy to my practice.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University, a Master’s of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Trauma Specialization from Pacific Oaks College, and I previously held an Addiction Counselor Certification from CAADE. As a Certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA, I employ EMDR therapy to assist clients in healing from the symptoms and emotional distress that stem from disturbing life experiences, by re-establishing adaptive neural pathways.

Understanding trauma from a clinical perspective is essential, but I also know firsthand what it takes to heal from trauma on a personal level.

Taking the first step towards therapy requires immense bravery, and I deeply honor your courage in seeking help. Together, we can navigate your path to recovery, heal deeply, and bloom.

the lotus flower

The Lotus flower is a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth.  It grows in muddy water, and it is this environment that gives forth the flower’s first and most literal meaning, rising and blooming above the murk to achieve enlightenment.
