Terms and Conditions: Mercedes Cusick LMFT Therapy Services
- Scope of Services: Mercedes Cusick LMFT Therapy Services offers counseling and therapy services provided by licensed marriage and family therapist Mercedes Cusick (LMFT). These services are designed to support individuals, couples, and families in addressing various mental health and relationship concerns.
- Confidentiality: All sessions and communications between clients and Mercedes Cusick are confidential, as governed by the laws and ethics of the counseling profession. Exceptions to confidentiality may apply in situations involving imminent risk of harm to self or others, child abuse, or as required by law.
- Client Responsibilities: Clients are responsible for providing accurate information during sessions and actively participating in the therapeutic process. Clients are also responsible for adhering to scheduled appointment times and providing 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Payment and Fees: Payment for therapy services is due at the time of each session unless otherwise agreed upon. Mercedes Cusick LMFT Therapy Services accepts various forms of payment, including cash, check, credit/debit cards, and electronic funds transfer. Fees for services are outlined in the fee agreement provided to clients prior to starting therapy.
- Cancellation Policy: Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Failure to provide timely notice may result in a fee equivalent to the full session rate.
- Records and Documentation: Mercedes Cusick maintains accurate and secure records of client information and session notes in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Clients have the right to request access to their records and may discuss any concerns regarding documentation with Mercedes Cusick.
- Termination of Services: Either party may terminate therapy services at any time for any reason. Mercedes Cusick reserves the right to terminate services if it is determined that therapy is no longer beneficial or appropriate for the client.
- Emergencies: In case of emergencies or crises requiring immediate assistance, clients are encouraged to contact emergency services or seek support from local crisis hotlines or mental health providers. Mercedes Cusick may provide guidance on accessing emergency services as needed.

Therapy is not a substitute for medical or legal advice, and clients are encouraged to consult appropriate professionals for issues outside the scope of therapy.
